Iroko   ( Milicia Excelsa )

Also known as abang bang, Commonly found throughout Africa from the East to West coast, Iroko in natural form is dark yellow to brown in colour and is one of the best known African hardwood. This very durable and attractive timber provides a beautiful finish when stained  and has found many uses in the manufacture of high class joinery products including: Furniture, Doors, Kitchen work tops and of course our class leading Entrance gates.

By far the most popular hardwood we use.


Idigbo    ( Terminalia Ivorensis )

Also known as Emeri, Idigbo is predominantly found throughout east Africa. The natural timber is yellow to straw in colour. This timber has a unusual growth ring pattern which can be mistaken for Oak. As well as being used for gates and conservatories it is also used for high quality furniture.


Sapele  ( Entandraphragma   Cylindricum )

Also known as scented mahogany, Sapele is found through central Africa. This timber is medium red to brown in colour and therefore is used as an alternative to mahogany.

This timber comes from trees reaching up to 150ft and is a popular timber for furniture and hardwood flooring.


European Oak  ( Quercus Robur )

Also known as Durmast, Oak is grown throughout Europe including France, Germany and England. The natural timber is a golden yellow to yellowish brown in colour. This is a very traditional wood, which is used extensively for reproduction work, church furniture, doors and flooring.

This traditional timber provides a finish which is second to none and will provide a lifetime of service.


Redwood  ( Pinnus )

This is our only softwood material and provides an alternative to using hardwood. This timber is used to produce a wide range of joinery mouldings and furniture.
